My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Asha, a one year old Anatolian Shepherd mix weighing 75 pounds.

Asha is an incredibly sweet girl who acts much more mature than her age, she has an old soul about her that we just adore but every once in a while you see her puppy love poke through. Asha walks well on her leash and is very gentle. She loves attention and has so much potential. This girl loves love and we love to give it to her.

This pet is available for adoption on 1/3/2025 at 11:00 AM at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854.

Did you know YHS lets local community members FOSTER TO ADOPT?
That`s where you and the pet make sure you`re a good fit for one another by having a fun sleepover prior to finalizing your adoption. It`s a win-win for everyone! Just ask our front desk staff about how it works.

Interested in adopting this or another YHS pet?
Please complete our adoption questionnaire found at: https://yakimahumane.org/adopt/apply/

Our adoption fee includes a lovable companion, spay/neuter, vaccinations and intestinal worming, flea/tick treatment, rabies vaccine (for pets over 3-4 months of age) and a microchip with nationwide registration. Your adoption fee helps support YHS and our spay/neuter efforts in the community to end overpopulation of cats and dogs.

If you have any questions, please e-mail us at adoption@yakimahumane.org.

Adoption Fees & Process
See current fees at www.yakimahumane.org
The adoption fees help offset the cost of evaluation, housing, feeding and medical care for the thousands of animals that need our help. We do our best to keep adoption prices reasonable while generating income to support our goal of caring for animals available for adoption until we can place them in a loving home. Adoption fees help provide medical care, food and shelter to the animals in our care.
