This litter of Pit mix pups (2 girls;3 boys) have an estimated DOB 6/26/24. They were placed in a fold-up-type wagon and left at the front door of a vet clinic. The pups were very small considering the vet determined that they were already 5mos old!! They ranged between 5-12#s! They received good quality food and as much as they wanted. They all doubled their weight and size in 3 weeks! I have never seen such growth. I’m not sure how big they will get because they are making up for lost time. These pups are the absolute sweetest. They show NO aggressiveness… No bully. They all just want LOVE!!!
CHELSEA…A bright gray pup who started out extremely scared of people. She was brought in the house and handled as much as we could. Eventually, she became interested in joining the rest of my dogs on the floor, so we put her down with them. They, of course, attacked her with true love…wanting to say HI to her. She didn’t hesitate… she said a quick hello and then grabbed one of the many toys and took off with great enthusiasm. She loved being free with all her new friends but what she loved most was being petted and hugged by a human. She has the sweetest face gazing up at you with a smile on her face and a willingness to stay there all day if you would let her. In the meantime, she found the cats interesting but left them alone. Chelsea will make a fantastic loving companion. I can only guess that she may get to be 30-35#.
This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention.
If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060.

Adoption Fees

All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting.
All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog.
This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose.
Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

We have no means of transporting our dogs to the NE without it being a pre-adoption. Our transporters go to the Northeast typically 3-4 times/month to OH, PN, NY, VT, CT, NJ, & MD. All dogs must be pre-adopted because we have no fosters in the NE. We also adopt in Pacific Northwest and mid-west as well. Some of our adopters have come from both Canada and Alaska.

More about this rescue
We used to call ourselves Shayne's Rescue as we used to rescue dogs. Hence our webiste: shaynesrescue.com.
Please see the 'resource section' which has excellent information for anyone with a dog or pup. Now, we are Shayne's Fosters as we foster TX rescue pups & dogs.. We assist several Texas rescuers where shelters kill 80-99% of what comes in besides the millions and millions of strays on the streets. Hence, we foster for TX rescues who do impeccable jobs of vetting, quarantine all of their pups/dogs and send up the best dogs we have ever met. All have a health certificate prior to transport (vet visit). We work super hard volunteering and we can always use more assistance from volunteers!
Please do apply. We have so many dogs and puppies available.
This application we use (see below) is for our long term partner Pet Central SATX Rescue. Typically, we only post puppies in the Northeast and all of our puppies posted in the Northeast are currently from this rescue in San Antonio, TX.
