My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pluto: Your Purr-fectly Playful Pal!

Oh boy, have I got a dandy little fella to introduce to you—Pluto! This young tuxedo cat may not have spots like his namesake, but he sure has a big personality to make up for it! With his striking black-and-white coat and his adventurous spirit, Pluto is ready to charm his way into your heart.

Pluto’s journey has been a bit of a rollercoaster. His previous owner had to relocate and couldn’t take him along, and he found himself in a tight spot. But thanks to the wonderful folks at Charming Pet Rescue, this bold and bouncy boy got his second chance!

When it comes to playtime, Pluto doesn’t hold back. He’s got a playful streak that’ll keep you entertained for hours—fetch and tug-of-war are his specialties! (Gawrsh, a cat that loves fetch? That’s something special!) But don’t let his playful energy fool ya. When it’s snuggle time, Pluto is as sweet and cuddly as they come—though he might be a teensy bit shy about showing it at first.

Here’s the kicker: Pluto is a total champ at the vet and the groomer! Talk about a cool cat, huh?

If you’re looking for a fun-loving, snuggle-ready buddy to brighten your days, Pluto is your guy. Adopt him today, and you’ll have a lifelong friend who’s as bold as he is sweet.

Pluto’s ready for his forever home—are you ready for Pluto?
IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.

Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adopt

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transport

We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.January 4, 2025, 6:25 am

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
