Getta was brought in by a community member on 12/15/24 briefly adopted and returned to our care.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Getta, a canine companion whose heart is as big as her personality. She is the embodiment of sweetness and friendliness, always ready to give a wagging tail of approval to anyone who shows her kindness. While Getta is selective toward other dogs and has navigated well around them in our care, her previous adopter shared she can be possessive of her treats and food around other dogs. She may not be a good candidate for off leash venues and is required to live in a home without other dogs. If you would like to meet Getta, please visit our Escondido campus.

Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.
