My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Logan, the perfect family dog! Logan is a mellow, sweet and relaxed innocent soul. He’s affectionate, easy on leash, gentle and wonderful with other dogs.

Logan is the ultimate easy-going, stable, and affectionate dog who's ready to be your best friend! At 2 years old and 70 pounds, this big, gentle boy is likely a wonderful mix of Lab and Great Dane, with the best traits of both breeds. He is a rescue, his exact lineage is unknown, so these are just our best guesses! He’s medium low energy, loves his walks, and is a true people-pleaser, getting along well with both dogs and kids of all sizes.

Meet Logan here: https://youtu.be/07JtoE65pfg?feature=shared

Logan is easy-going and low-maintenance. Logan is a laid-back pup who enjoys the simple things in life—like a good walk, time with his humans, and hanging out with dog friends. He’s calm, steady, and adaptable, making him a perfect fit for almost any home. His favorite past time is lounging anywhere his body will fit! Logan loves to nudge your hand for affection and even sneaks in the occasional sweet kiss on the cheek.

Logan is a very present and engaged dog, he connects with his humans on a deep level and takes life nice and slow. Logan loves snuggles and belly-rubs, and his favorite pass time is yoga! He’s a very stretchy boy, which is a great trait for large breeds to have. He also loves to sunbathe, and will stretch out in a warm sunny corner of your home for hours.

Logan is a pro on walks! He walks beautifully on the leash and can even tandem walk with his doggy friends. He’s easy to manage and enjoys his daily strolls, making him a fantastic dog for just about anyone. Logan is friendly, gentle and sweet with everyone he meets. Between his social skills and his leash manner, he will be an easy dog to take on outings and adventures. Take Logan to the park and watch him steal hearts!

Logan’s friendliness extends to everyone, he’s perfectly kid-friendly and dog-friendly. Whether you have a big dog or a small dog, Logan is great with them all! He’s non-dominant and loves to invite dogs to play with a friendly play bow. He’s very tolerant with even our pushiest of players. He’s also great with kids, making him an excellent family dog. He met a 4 year old here at the rescue and was ever so gentle with him. Logan may be 70 pounds, but he’s very aware of his size and weight, especially around little ones. Logan is also so mellow and relaxed indoors that he won’t rile your kids up!

Logan has amazing house manners, he’s respectful of the furniture and his surroundings, and we haven’t seen any indoor accidents here at the rescue. He also does well in his crate with us, without barking or whining for attention. He’s reliable, well-mannered, and easy to have around the house. Logan can be a bit vocal with a howl or a low vocal talk to you to tell you he wants your attention.

Logan would make a great family dog to any family. He is such a go-with-the-flow kind of guy, we could see him thriving in just about any loving home environment. Chaotic and busy homes will be pleased with Logan’s obedience and adaptability, calm and quiet homes would do well with the company of a mellow boy like Logan. While Logan is content with walks, he would thrive in a home with a secure yard where he can stretch his legs and relax. Logan can be a bit vocal when excited or hearing sirens, because of this we think a home with no shared walls would be best for him. He’s stable, sweet, and the kind of dog you can take anywhere with confidence. If you’re looking for a loving, easy-going companion who can fit into any situation, Logan is the perfect match for you!

We are willing to test Logan with anything you need us to in order to ensure he’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know.

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.
Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:
● Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family
● Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
