My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zulu (A137034) is an 4-year-old Alaskan husky who weighed almost 60 lbs at intake!

12/28/24 This ragtag little team of huskies was brought to the shelter because their previous musher did not feel they had the endurance for the longer races they wanted to do. Jim Jim, Charlie, Alphie, Delta, Zulu, Oscar and Whiskey have only ever lived as outside dogs, so it may take them a little time to adjust to indoor life, including potty training. All seven of these dogs were a little uncomfortable walking on tile floor when they arrived at the shelter, so they are also hoping their next homes will be patient in helping them learn the ropes of indoor life. Although they were booted from their last team, they still have a lot of energy and may just need a recreational musher or one who does shorter races. Jim Jim was said to have been a great leader in the past. If you are interested in meeting any of these happy sled dogs, please give the shelter a call!December 31, 2024, 3:48 pm
