Leroy is a handsome little Shih Tzu who came to SFCR after being released from a commercial breeding facility.

Leroy mingles well with the other dogs in his foster home and is crate trained. He is working hard on his housetraining and doing really well but does wear a belly band in the house to help remind him not to mark.

He is learning to really enjoy toys and has even started to play with the other pups. Leroy will need someone willing to give him the time he needs to acclimate and feel safe.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS:

Physically fenced in yard to keep him safe - no invisible fences. Leashing walking is still a work in progress.
Confident resident dog to help show him the ropes is preferred.
Home with older, respectful children only.

Leroy has been neutered and also had a dental. He tested negative for heartworm & tick-borne disease, is current on vaccinations & monthly preventatives, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400 plus tax.

Keeping in mind our organization is run entirely by volunteers, we do our very best to begin processing your application upon receipt. If we have any questions regarding your application, we will contact you first. Typically though, we will proceed with contacting your personal references and veterinarian before we get in touch with you. Depending on your avialablity, and ours, it may take a couple of days to complete this process. Please have paitence. We know you are excited, and we are excited for you, but we are committed to making sure the dogs in our care are placed in wonderful, loving, forever homes.
