Houston is a 4-year-old female dog looking for her forever home! She's a sweet and playful girl who loves her toys and will bring them with her wherever she goes. If you're looking for a dog who will keep you entertained with her playful antics and is ready to bond with you, Houston may be the perfect match!
A Few Things You Should Know About Houston:
Houston is best as the only pet in the home. While she doesn't show reactivity to other dogs on a leash, she prefers to keep to herself and doesn't want to play with them. She does well with older children and would love a family where she can get plenty of attention and love. Houston loves her toys but can become a bit obsessed with them. She's a smart girl who would benefit from someone who can help her learn to "leave it" when playtime is over. While she enjoys her own space, Houston is also a loyal companion who will be by your side, offering affection and companionship. Houston is looking for a family that can help her grow and thrive with a little training and lots of love. If you think you can provide Houston with the stability and attention she deserves, please reach out to learn more about this adorable, toy-obsessed girl! Apply online at ahscares.org/adopt Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: White Weight: 53 Age: 4yrs 6mths 1wks

More about this shelter
The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.
For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
The Society is a not for profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.
Please visit our website AHSCares.org for additional information.
