Meet Leia! This beautiful Black Labrador/Boxer, joined Animal House Shelter when her previous owner could no longer care for her. Leia absolutely loves feeling the wind in her whiskers during car rides! She is wonderful with everyone she meets, including children. Leia is house- and crate-trained, and her intelligence shines through—she already knows the commands "sit," "shake," and "where's your ball?" Leia is full of energy and loves to play! She’s great on leash walks and has no problem taking a bath, being brushed, or visiting the vet. Leia adores belly rubs, kisses, and hugs, thriving on all the love and attention she can get. She would be thrilled to become part of your family. Could Leia be the one for you?
All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption.
An application is required to view our adoptable pets. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption.
Appointments are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family.
Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble. We also cannot guarantee the ages of our adoptable animals or how large puppies will be when fully grown.
