Meet Patch! Patch is a delightful 2-year-old Chihuahua / Boston Terrier mix with a sparkling personality to match his adorable looks. At just 19 lbs, he’s the perfect size for cuddling on the couch or joining you on outdoor adventures.
Patch was rescued as a stray in Albuquerque, NM, and has been winning hearts ever since. He’s a friendly and playful pup who gets along wonderfully with other dogs and absolutely loves people. His silly antics and affectionate nature make him a joy to have around—he’s sure to brighten every day with his sweet presence.
While Patch’s past is a mystery, his future is looking bright. He’s ready to learn and grow into the best companion he can be. Because of this, we’re seeking an adopter who will commit to helping him build confidence and refine his skills through positive reinforcement training. Whether virtual or in-person, training is a fantastic way to bond with Patch and ensure his continued success as a loving member of your family.
We’re happy to recommend experienced, force-free trainers in your area to support you on this rewarding journey.
Patch has been fully vetted, and is up to date on his vaccines. He is not yet neutered. Patch will need to be neutered within one month of pick up, and we cover the full cost of this at our vet. No adoption is final until he is neutered.
Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial.
Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year.

We own a pet boutique named Farfel's Farm & Rescue on Pearl Street in Boulder, Colorado. We have had the good fortune to find our niche in the Boulder community and experience success. We felt it very important to "pay it forward" in gratitude. We couldn't think of a better endeavor than to save dogs who were out of time in the southern states, yet had been identified with great temperaments. We dedicate our efforts to their good health and ultimate wonderful, permanent homes.
