My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Quick Facts Name: Hodong Age: 10 years old Gender: Male Spayed: Yes Breed: Boston Terrier Colour: Black & white Weight: 12.5kg My Story Hi my future family! I'm Hodong, the cuddle bug, here to tell you all about myself! I'm a Boston Terrier boy, estimated to be born around 2014. Weighing in at 12.5 kg (27.5 lbs), I'm a compact guy with a classic black and white coat. My journey to find a home hasn't been the easiest. In 2021, I lost my shelter when the director passed away, and I, along with other pups, was rescued again by the kind people. I'm a little love bug at heart and happiest when I can cuddle up close to another dog or human. I might be a bit on the needy side, maybe from all the changes I've been through. It just means I've got a lot of love to give! Personality I'm naturally affectionate and friendly, so I'll happily approach both familiar faces and new friends alike. I love snuggling up close and will lean in for all the pets you're willing to give! One of my favorite things to do is cuddle up with other dogs-I feel so cozy and safe with a friend by my side. While I haven't had experience with young children under 13, I'm very gentle and love being held, even if you scoop me up with an arm under my belly. I crave companionship and get quite attached, so being with my person or a doggy friend as much as possible is my idea of a perfect day. My Social Side When it comes to other dogs, I'm friendly enough to approach them for a polite hello, but I'm not usually interested in playing. I'm best suited as the only dog in the household since I can get a bit jealous if another pup takes away attention. Also, if another dog tries to challenge me, I might stand up for myself, so a calm introduction is best if I meet new canine friends. As for cats, I haven't encountered them yet, but I love to chase birds! My Energy Level & Play I have a moderate energy level, so I enjoy outdoor activities but am also happy to relax afterward. Walks are a favorite activity of mine, though I'm more focused on sniffing everything along the way than on walking in a straight line. You'll find me stopping and starting as I pick up all the interesting scents! I may pull on the leash a bit, but I'm generally a good follower. Last Message I may be small, but I have a big heart that's just looking for someone to love. I'm good about sharing my food with humans, though I might give a little growl if another dog approaches my meal. Just a polite way of setting my boundaries! I'm also trained to go potty indoors on a pad or outdoors, whichever suits our routine. I do have a bit of separation anxiety and may bark to let you know when I need something or if I'm feeling lonely, so a patient, understanding person is just what I need. If you're looking for a loving, loyal friend who will always be by your side (and may need a little extra attention), then I'm the one for you. I'll bring warmth, affection, and plenty of companionship to my forever home, and I can't wait to meet my new family!
