Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Tux has been through a lot in his short life. Trapped in a colony, he first went to a safe place with a lot of other cats (but not much human attention because the humans were out making sure other cats were brought to safety before winter). He made a buddy there named Beau, and Tux and Beau moved into a foster home together.
After several days under the bed, Tux has come out and about. He enjoys sitting in the cat tree looking out the window, he uses the litter box like a champ, and he is cautiously curious. He keeps his short formal-wear neat and tidy. His go-go boots are on point, his milk mustache is coffee-table-book-worthy, and he is quite a statement piece on your windowsill.
He's still skeptical of humans, and is not cuddly. Yet. But the sooner Tux gets into his forever home and starts bonding with his People (and a welcoming cat friend will be necessary) the better. He's still got a lot of kitten in him, although he's probably almost full-grown. If someone has a little patience and doesn't need an insta-cat, Tux has a long and happy life ahead of him with the right family. Tux's buddy, Beau, is also available if you need a pair, but it's not essential that they stay together. We think he is about a year or possibly 2 years old
He is in Anchorage. Call 907 980-8898

Clear Creek Cat Rescue is a group of individuals in Alaska dedicated to rescuing cats in need, giving them care, rehabilitation if needed, and finding happy homes for them. We each give what we can to help these cats get through this most unfortunate time in their lives when they have been taken to the pound or are otherwise lost and homeless. Some of us share our homes with these cats while they are waiting for their forever family, some transport them from place to place, some host adoption fairs, take pictures, post ads. Some offer financial help. We each do what we can to help. And through this dedicated group of people, more than a thousand cats have been saved and found loving homes.
In 2020, we rescued and rehomed approximately 650 cats.
