My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Sabi and his sister, Oma! Originally part of a litter of six, Sabi and Oma have blossomed into lively, energetic kittens despite their rough start in life. Loud noises and fast movements can still be a bit overwhelming for them, so a calm and patient home will help them thrive.

Sabi is the neat freak of the pair, often grooming himself meticulously or attempting to “bury” his toys and food. He`s a big snuggler who would happily be a lap cat—if he didn’t have so much to explore!

While Sabi and Oma can be adopted separately, adopting them together gives you a built-in playmate system that makes caring for them much easier and more rewarding. They keep each other entertained, help each other grow, and double the love in your home. Sabi and Oma can’t wait to meet you—come say hello today!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
