Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This young Abyssinian guinea pig is one fluffy little guy and he has the cutest little smile as he sniffs the air when a treat is nearby. He is young, at only eight months old, as such, he is still quite shy. He has a very friendly streak though. Nico will need a lot of practice being picked up and held, but he is a very sweet boy who we know will learn quickly!
Nico really needs an older guinea pig buddy to learn the ropes and to live his best life. He would do best in a family with older children (10+) or those with guinea pig experience.
With questions about Nico, or any of our other small animals available for adoption, e-mail Olivia at olivia.warburton@rispca.org.

Matchmaking is what we love to do. We do our very best to find the best fit for the pets awaiting adoption at the Rhode Island SPCA. The first step to adopting a dog from the Rhode Island SPCA is filling out an adoption application. If your application is selected, you will be contacted and asked if you would like to schedule a meet & greet. Because of the volume of applications we receive, sometimes we can only respond to the selected applicant. You are always welcome to contact us anytime about the status of your application at adoption@rispca.com.
