My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PELUSA is barely a kitten herself. She was dropped off at the rescue and surprised us by having a litter of four adorable babies just prior to her scheduled spay appointment. Two boys and two girls, Rich Brown beautiful tabby kittens moved immediately into a foster home or they have received nothing but love. They are very social and will be available for Adoption mid January when they turn eight weeks old. The kittens have been dewormed and will receive Their first vaccine Prior to adoption. They will need to return for their spay neuter appointment when they are old enough – typically 4 to 5 months of age. The Rescue will cover the cost of their neuter and FIV test as well as microchip at the BVSPCA in New Castle. Ringing them to this appointment will be mandatory so Adoption preferred. Kittens are best in pairs! Please fill out an application at www.companimals.org so we can get you preapproved prior to coming out to meet the kittens in their foster home located in Hockessin Delaware. Mama will be available for adoption as well  Kitchen adoption fee is $125 for the first Kitten, $100 for the second

Go meet their pets

Our shelter has visiting hours - Wed through Sat from noon 'til 5 p.m. You're welcome anytime we're open.
Most our our dogs live in foster homes, and will likely not be at the shelter unless arrangements are made ahead of time.
We do hold monthly "Meet and Greets" at local pet stores, but here, as well, to meet a specific dog arrangements should be made in advance so that
your potential new best friend can be there waiting to meet you.

More about this rescue

CompAnimals Pet Rescue is a small not-for-profit "no kill" rescue. Our mission is to take in unwanted, abandoned or abused dogs, cats and other small pets; to place those we can in loving, permanent homes; and to provide a sanctuary for the animals whose age, health issues or temperament precludes them from adoption. Our dogs & cats are neutered, vaccinated and receive all necessary medical treatment beford being made available for adoption. Through our volunteers and outreach programs we educate the next generation about the importance of spay/neuter and giving a lifelong home to their pets. We hope to one day put ourselves out of business but until then we will continue to rescue regardless of breed, age or medical condition.
