Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Nebraska came to us from a hoarding situation with nearly 50 cats in one home. He was born with severely underdeveloped eyes (they are hardly there at all). He is completely blind and needs time to slowly adjust to new environments to know where he is. He is a very sweet boy and great with other cats and think he wouldn't care about polite dogs, since he can't see them anyways. He is a younger male maybe 1-2 years old. Nebraska uses the litterbox here at the shelter. His adoption fee is $100 and includes his neuter, microchip, vaccinations and negative felv/fiv test. Please call 630-433-8528 or email animalcontrol@kendallcountyil.gov or stop by during our open business hours to meet him.

Kendall County Animal Control is the county agency responsible for enforcement of the state statutes governing rabies control in domestic companion animals. The State of Illinois requires that all dogs are vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian. Compliance with this law is monitored through the issuance of rabies tags for all dogs residing in the county. All dogs are required to wear their rabies tags when off of the owner's property. If a pet is lost, rabies tags also provide an excellent means of identifying your pet.
Kendall County Animal Control also enforces the county's ordinance that prohibits dogs from running at large in unincorporated residential subdivisions, investigates reports of animal bites, and will pick up contained stray dogs in unincorporated Kendall County during operating hours. Stray and owner released cats and dogs may also be brought to the facility during business hours. Cats and dogs are available for adoption at the facility.
