My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We all love S’mores!

S'Mores was born the end of May 2024. She is a doberman mix with the gorgeous red and rust coloring. Since she’s a puppy, she is outgoing and active. She loves playing and being around her person.

S'Mores has gotten used to walking on a leash, and although she is still practicing, she is getting better every day. She is used to sleeping and eating her crate. We are working on her potty training skills, but will need continued encouragement in her new environment.

S'Mores currently lives with a few foster siblings, including a cat! She also gets along with people of all ages.

S’mores is very smart and has mastered climbing, so a tall solid wall is a must in her new home.

Additional adoption info

In some circumstances, meeting the dog and a home check are done at the same time if the dog is ready to be adopted. We do have conversation with potential adopters prior to them meeting the dog. If they are interested in adopting a puppy who is not ready for adoption (not altered, not UTD, etc) they are able to put a hold on the pup until ready for adoption.

More about this rescue

Pathways for Paws was founded in October 2019. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill, animal welfare organization.

Our mission is to make spay/neuter & vaccinations affordable to those in our communities. By achieving this, we will help prevent the neglect & abuse of dogs. All dogs in our care are spay/neutered, given the age appropriate vaccinations and microchipped before going to their FURever families.

We work with rescues & fellow animal advocates to continue growing a network of volunteers and supporters.
