My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Trixie is a 6 1/2 year old female Yorkie weighing 9 pounds. Trixie was surrendered to a county facility near San Antonio. The owner stated they got a new Yorkie puppy, and Trixie didn’t like the puppy. Trixie had been well vetted in the past and had lived with them her whole life. While initially very lost and agitated in our home she soon calmed down and became part of the pack. When relaxed she prefers to lounge on the couch. She loves to wander around the yard if we are outside working on the garden or picking up leaves.

She is housebroken. She has adapted to sleeping and eating in a kennel. She still prefers to not be left alone and is working on not going out the door ahead of us. When left she is not destructive and just tends to bark briefly. Trixie has a beautiful coat and when her hair grows out it will be better than ever.

Trixie is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and has had a vet evaluation. Her adoption fee is $350, so if you can’t wait to hold this sweet girl, please submit an application from this website.

ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Poquita Paws does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes spay/neutered, rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventrative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE.

We transport to most states across the country.

Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption.

Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to youi  Thank you.
