Kris Kringle’s journey has been anything but easy. Just a couple of days before Christmas, he came to us alone and scared, having endured more change and hardship than any dog should. Purchased as a puppy, Kris was tragically attacked by the owner’s other dog, resulting in the loss of one of his eyes. Rather than supporting him through his recovery, his previous owner decided she no longer wanted him and listed him for sale on Craigslist.
Thankfully, a kind-hearted supporter spotted the listing, took Kris in, and got him the much-needed veterinary care he deserved. From there, she brought him to us, where he’s now safe and awaiting a forever home.
At just 1 year old, Kris is a spirited and lovable pup with so much life ahead of him. His unique one-eyed wink gives him a charm that’s impossible to resist, and his sweet personality shines through despite everything he’s been through. He gets along well with other dogs, adores people, and is always ready for playtime or cuddles.
Kris is an energetic boy who would thrive in a home with an owner committed to continuing his training and providing plenty of outlets for his energy. Home Check
We will come out to make sure your home is safe for a Pug; if you live out of area we can do the home check via Skype or FaceTime.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
You can make an appointment to come pick out a Pug or you can also do that at one of our events (see our event page on website).
Additional adoption info
We require an application either online through our website or in person at our facility or one of our events. Once we receive the application we will schedule a home visit. After approval, you are eligible to adopt any available dog. Our fees range from $75 - $550 depending upon age. $550 would be for a pure pug puppy (which we rarely get), $75 would be for our senior for senior program. Full price list available on our website.

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities.
