Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Shai is a special 2-year-old girl who came to us after her previous owner abandoned her at our rescue. Understandably, the changes in her life have left her feeling a little nervous and shy when meeting new people. But don’t worry—Shai is quick to warm up, and with time and patience, she’ll blossom into the confident and social pup we know she can be.
Active and incredibly agile, Shai is capable of jumping impressively high. Her future adopter will need to ensure she’s always in a secure environment to keep her safe. While she gets along with other dogs overall, Shai has a strong alpha personality and would thrive as either the only dog in her home or with a canine companion that matches her energy.
Due to her need for structure and time to adjust, Shai would do best in a home without young children, though older, respectful kids might be a good fit. With a dedicated owner who can guide her through this transition, Shai is ready to step into her best self. Once she’s comfortable and out of her shell, you’ll discover just how amazing this girl truly is! Interested in this special girl? Please inquire today!

More about this rescue
Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
