My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

When my owner passed away the rescue was contacted to help me find a new loving home. I am totally blind but like to go for walks. Pug Pace Only! My foster mom used to have a blind pug so she's helping me feel more safe in my new environment. Right now I'm enjoying feeling warm and loved next to her near the cozy wood stove and getting some extra meals because I'm a bit underweight. I also always potty outside and have had zero accidents! Sake is desperately in need of a dental cleaning but we are waiting on his blood results to make sure he's healthy enough to undergo the procedure. He enjoys his meals, toddling around the house and yard and keeping the young pugs out of his face. He also enjoys a Pug Paced walk outside and is happy to wear a dapper coat outside. He is also an exceptional co pilot in the car - very well behaved! Sake will require eye drops or ointment every day to be kept comfortable as he does not have normal tear production. He is feeling much better now that those are being administered. He is a bigger boy at nearly 30# but he says it's just more to love. He does have a very sweet personality and wags his tail now when he hears your voice or you let him know you're close. He doesn't bark much unless the other dogs really start barking and did well left alone and just laid on his bed. Sake is a delightful older gentleman who would appreciate a quiet retirement home without too much activity. He will toddle around a bit to explore but prefers to just sit or lay near his person. He likes the other pugs in the home but does get a bit annoyed if they jump in his face so they leave him alone. He did very well for his bath but didn't appreciate the nail clipping (but was in desperate need of this!) He appears to be missing a bunch of teeth so very appropriately we refer to him as "The Bumble"!

Additional adoption info

Thank you for your interest in adopting from Church of Pug.
Everyone at Church of Pug is a volunteer. We wear many hats - we foster pugs, travel to vet appointments, attend fundraising events, process a lot of paperwork, and more. We make every effort to respond to inquiries in a timely manner but often the days get away from us. For this reason, we will do our best to reach out to everyone. We’ll let you know your application has been received either through a phone call, text or email.
PLEASE take your time completing the below application and fill out questions in detail! This is the information our adoption team will use to make initial determinations when selecting applicants to proceed in the interview process as dogs become available and we begin the process of finding its forever family.

READ the information on each dog's biography page carefully. If you are interested in applying to adopt a dog, please ensure you meet the stated requirements. All of these dogs live with our foster families and that means we know their story -- we understand what they have been through and what they need in a forever home. All decisions are made with the dogs' best interests in mind.
