My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Spice is a 1-2 year old female leopard gecko. She has absolutely beautiful coloring and is an excellent eater. She does well with handling and loves to explore her enclosure. She will require a minimum 20 gallon long enclosure but we would prefer to see her in a 40 gallon. She will need at least 3 hides (hot, moist, cool), lots of decor and things to climb on and an overhead heat lamp. Spice eats very well on small dubia roaches, mealworms and the occasional hornworm. She will make an excellent pet for years to come!

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. You can also contact us directly regarding a pet seen here and we will set up a time for you to meet them in person. Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
