My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Katsuko: The Handsome Husky Looking for His Pack! 🐾

Katsuko is a 6-year-old husky who's all about living that classic husky lifestyle: high energy, big personality, and a whole lot of love to give! 🐕❄️

Here's what you need to know about Katsuko:

He's got a very high prey drive, so no small animals or cats for this adventurous guy.
He does great with similar-sized dogs who can keep up with his playful spirit!
A 6-foot fence is a must because, well... huskies gonna husky. 🚀
Husky experience? Even better! Katsuko thrives with owners who understand his breed and love his quirks.
Katsuko is ready to find a home where he can run, play, and be his fabulous, fluffy self.

More about this shelter

The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.

For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused, or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.

The Society is a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.

Please visit our website AHSCares.org for additional information.
