My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ruthie, a stunning 4-year-old mixed breed who’s a bundle of contradictions, and we wouldn’t have her any other way! She’s strong, social, and super friendly, making her the perfect companion for a solo home.

Ruthie graduated from the STAR - Save Train And Rehabilitate in Oklahoma, where she lived with a special inmate handler who worked with her on basic obedience and tricks 🎓

One moment, she’s a cuddler, soaking up all the love and affection she can get, and the next, she’s off doing her own thing, showing off her independent streak. She’s a happy pup, easy-going with a little spark of wildness, depending on the mood. Ruthie’s not too fond of cats, so she’d prefer to be the queen of her domain, but with people, she’s absolutely a charmer.

Her personality is a perfect blend of sweetness and independence, and honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing. She’s the best – playful yet calm, and always full of love, but with just the right amount of sass!

More about this rescue

We help animals who are in need by placing them in a loving foster home, providing medical care, and finding the perfect home for that animal to live in for the rest of its life. Tails of Hope takes mainly dogs, but has occasionally helped other animals in need. We take animals in through shelters and other rescue organizations, as strays, or as owner surrenders from people in our local communities.
