My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 2 years
Weight: 25.5kg

A bit about Moose:
- Lived with kids previously, no noted concerns; all interactions should be supervised by an adult
- Lived with a cat, no noted concerns; all interactions should be supervised and introductions done slowly over a period of time
- Lived with other dogs previously, some dog selectivity noted; potential for select other dog in home pending successful introduction

Greetings from Moose, the playful and bouncy spirit who would thrive in an energetic home with room for him to play! Described by his former foster parent as loving to play fetch and with a frizzbee. He is also very smart, already knowing tricks like sit, come and stay! Moose is the perfect mix of a cuddle bug with an adventure buddy, and would love to be able to do both with you. Does this sound like the right companion for your home? Come meet Moose at the Calgary Humane Society today!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
