If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
I got Gemma through a private adoption, after her owners found she was too active for them to keep up with. They got her from the county animal shelter. She loves people, and has got along ok with some dogs, but also attacked an extremely small yorkie on a walk. the yorkie was ok, but Gemma clearly has a strong prey instinct for small animals and birds. I have Gemma and another dog right now, and they get along great.
she's two years old, and already in her exciting life has killed a chicken, learned to jump over anything but a six foot tall fence, and taken to e-collar training very well.
She loves to run and fetch. somewhere with a big fence and lots of room would be great for her. she's a good learner, I believe her interaction with strange dogs would improve with more training.
She's a mix of corgi, border collie, and rat terrier.
