Hi, I`m Lila! I`m a gorgeous, 11-year-old long-haired dilute tortie. My owner had to go into an aged care facility and was unable to take me along, so I`m looking for a new home! I`m very shy at first, but if you take the time to get to know me, I`m a sweet girl who loves company. Though I`m a mature lady, I still appreciate the fun of a little catnip or a wand toy once I get comfortable! I am a vocal kitty, so if I have an opinion to share, you will hear about it. My ideal home would be a quiet one where I can take long naps and spend some time looking out the window from my perch. I do well with people of any age as long as they are calm around me, because quick movements and loud noises are scary and make me hide! I came from a multi-cat home, so I may do fine in a home with other cats who are older or calm. I might prefer, however, to be the only pet in the home just so I can get all the attention! I`m an affectionate lady once I get attached to someone, and I will let you know by rubbing and nuzzling onto your legs or joining you while you relax on the couch. The West Suburban Humane Society (WSHS) is a volunteer-based, no-kill animal rescue that was founded in 1972 in the western suburbs of Chicago. WSHS now finds homes for more than 500 dogs and cats each year!
WSHS is 100% funded by individual, corporate, and private foundations donations, and has over 450 active volunteers! WSHS is caring for about 200 animals at any given time.
