Hi, I’m Blackjack! Life wasn’t always kind to me. I was left to wander the streets, dodging danger and fending for myself for months. At one point, someone even shot me with a pellet gun! Thankfully, the kind humans at the rescue took me in, gave me the surgery I needed, and helped me heal—not just my body, but my heart, too. And guess what? Turns out, I’m not a nuisance at all. I’m a very friendly lovebug that my foster mom says is an absolutely perfect bunny.
Let me tell you about myself: I’m a free-spirited escape artist with a knack for jumping (seriously, I can clear 4 feet like it’s nothing). My humans call me a “bun Houdini.” Since my litter box habits are top-notch, and I’m not destructive—no chewing baseboards or furniture or digging, my foster family decided to see how I would do as a 24/7 free roam bunny. I love it!
I’m happiest when I’m getting head pets. I adore my tunnel—it’s like my personal racetrack—and I’ll go wild for pellets in my wobble treat dispenser. My favorite place to sleep is on the back of the couch, where I can see what’s going on.
I’ve got a sleek black coat with a cute little white forehead mark and a fluffy white tail. My humans say my “salt and pepper” hairs make me look distinguished. I think it just adds to my charm. I absolutely love head pets and I may tuck my head into your hands when I’m scared. When I’m comfy, you’ll find me lounging on my hammock bed or zipping through my tunnel. Treat time is the best—I go wild for Science Selective or Oxbow pellets and treats, and I adore veggies like romaine, cilantro, and radicchio. (Bananas? Kale? Yes, please—but in moderation.) The vacuum doesn’t bother me, and I’m a car-riding pro, so I’m pretty chill.
I’d thrive in a calm home with bunny-savvy older kids who know how to be gentle. I might even like a laid-back bunny friend or other pets, but I haven’t met any cats or dogs yet. Or I would be so happy in a home where I can enjoy all the attention.
Honestly, I’m just looking for someone who’ll love me, let me roam free, and share their life with me. I promise I’ll be the sweetest, most affectionate bun you’ve ever met. Could you be my forever family?

RRMN bunnies are all vetted, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. All bunnies are fostered in private homes where they are socialized and ready to become indoor companion house pets. RRMN is a non-profit rescue group operated 100% by volunteers, and 100% of donations/adoption fees go to the direct care of our animals. Due to their very special behavioral needs, we do not advocate for our rescue rabbits to serve as Emotional Support Animals (ESAs). We are unable to provide any documentation or certification for an ESA.
If you have any questions or are interested in meeting or adopting this bunny, the first step is to complete an adoption application found on our website: http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com. For the safety of our rescue bunnies, our protocol requires a home-visit before placement. Therefore, we are unable to facilitate adoptions that exceed an hour and a half of travel time from the Twin Cities area.
