Meet Tucker,
He’s guessed to be an Aussie doodle — he will need professional grooming every 8 weeks and will require regular brushing & stimulation.
Personality:
Tucker is an absolute sweetheart with a perfect temperament, blending the best traits of both the Australian Shepherd and Poodle. At just 12 weeks old, he’s already demonstrating a calm and loving nature that makes him the perfect companion for families of all sizes. He’s playful and curious but also knows how to wind down and enjoy cuddles, making him the ideal lap dog when it’s time to relax. Tucker loves to snuggle up on the couch and sleep by your side, offering endless affection and comfort. His gentle demeanor and eagerness to please make him a joy to have around.
Training & Crate Habits:
Tucker is already showing impressive progress with his crate training. He sleeps soundly in his crate at night, and, so far, has shown no issues with soiling his kennel, making him a great candidate for continued crate training as he grows. He’s also very responsive to positive reinforcement and enjoys learning new things. With the proper guidance, Tucker will excel in any training setting, making him a fun and well-behaved pup to have as he matures.
Exercise & Mental Stimulation Needs:
As an Aussiedoodle, Tucker is an active and intelligent pup who will need plenty of physical exercise and mental stimulation. His Australian Shepherd heritage means he will likely be high-energy as he grows, and he’ll need daily walks, playtime, and activities to keep him engaged. Puzzle toys, obedience training, or even agility exercises will help keep his sharp mind occupied. He thrives on interaction with his family, and as he matures, it will be essential to ensure he has plenty of outlets for his energy and curiosity.
Size & Grooming Needs:
Tucker will likely grow into a medium sized dog as he matures, with his build being sturdy and athletic, much like his Australian Shepherd parent. As a Poodle mix, he will have a low-shedding coat, but it will require regular grooming every 8 weeks to keep it looking its best. Whether you choose to have him professionally groomed or learn to manage his coat at home, Tucker’s luxurious, wavy golden fur will require consistent attention to avoid matting.
Socialization:
Tucker is a social butterfly and gets along wonderfully with both large and small dogs, as well as babies. He’s naturally gentle and adaptable, making him a great choice for households with other pets and children. While Tucker hasn’t been cat-tested yet, his young age and friendly disposition suggest that with a proper introduction, he would do just fine with feline companions. His easygoing nature ensures that he will quickly become part of the family, and his social skills make him a hit with everyone he meets.
Ideal Home:
Tucker would do best in a home where he is able to receive plenty of attention, stimulation, and exercise. Whether you’re an active family who enjoys outdoor activities or someone looking for a snuggle buddy, Tucker will fit in perfectly. He will thrive in a home where he’s not left alone for long periods and where his family is willing to invest in his training and socialization. With his affectionate nature and keen intelligence, Tucker is destined to be a loyal, loving member of your family for years to come.
If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, and intelligent companion who’s got the perfect balance of energy and calm, Tucker is the one for you!

We help animals who are in need by placing them in a loving foster home, providing medical care, and finding the perfect home for that animal to live in for the rest of its life. Tails of Hope takes mainly dogs, but has occasionally helped other animals in need. We take animals in through shelters and other rescue organizations, as strays, or as owner surrenders from people in our local communities.
