Meet Jade, a true mother at heart. She's 1 ½ yrs old. This sweet, gentle girl came to the shelter with her own young kittens, but her nurturing instincts didn’t stop there. She took in two orphaned kittens, just a little younger than her own, and lovingly cared for them as her own. When her kittens were ready to wean, Jade didn’t hesitate to raise another set of orphaned babies, giving them the love and care they needed to thrive.
Now that her mothering days are behind her, Jade is ready to find a home of her own. She’ll be spayed and up-to-date on her vaccines before going home with you. Jade is a kind, compassionate soul who deserves a family to call her own after all the love she’s given to others. Her adoption fee is just $90.

Our cat adoption fee is $75 and our dog adoption fee is $85. This covers one set of basic vaccines including rabies, vet exam, spay/neuter, fecal and general dewormer at Lincoln Vet.

More about this shelter

We are the Animal Control Facility for the City of Talladega. We provide animal control services for the entire county of Talladega excluding the city limits of Lincoln, Sylacauga, and Childersburg. We work with lots of rescues all over the US and Canada. We do some local adoptions but don't have many people come in locally looking to adopt. A lot of our pets are transferred to our rescue partners. We do accept donations of cleaning supplies, dry cat/kitten, dry dog/puppy food, cat litter, and chew toys. We are also always looking for short term foster homes for our pets going to rescues. Usually it's only for a 2-4 week period before the pet leaves for his/her rescue.
