My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

I love getting pets and - you guessed it - snuggles!

I don't always like to share my food, toys or bedding with other animals.

I'm ready to learn! I need a patient person who has the time to work on training with me.

I would do best in a home with only adult humans.

A Volunteer Wrote: We wish we could sneak Swirly Pops into our house without our own less-than-welcoming dogs noticing, because we don't want to live a minute without him. Not that he'd mind our dogs--in the shelter, he has greeted other dogs off leash with "bouncy play." He's one of the sweetest pups we've ever met: He continuously licks hands and arms while lying in laps, and while he took treats with a little force when he first arrived, he now takes them as gently as a bunny rabbit. He keeps his crate immaculate even when it's seven hours between walks; he's a dream on a leash, and he's got the perfect amount of energy where he's happy to chase after a ball but also more than delighted just to chill on your lap and snuggle. He was a little possessive of his toys when he first arrived, but we would eagerly buy him dozens of his own to make him happy. Swirly Pops is a heartbreaker of a dog who will make your heart triple in size just by being in his vicinity.
