Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Barrett, a sweet and timid 5-month-old Beagle who’s still adjusting to the world around him. While he can be a bit shy with other dogs at first, he’s quick to warm up given some time and space. He’s not a fan of dogs who are too in-your-face, but once he feels comfortable, he does well with his canine companions.
Before coming to Second Chance, Barrett lived with small children and did wonderfully with them. He’s gentle and affectionate, making him a great fit for a family setting. House training is still a work in progress, but given his age and a consistent routine, he’ll catch on quickly!
Barrett can be crated but, true to his Beagle nature, he may protest at first. A little patience and practice will help him settle in. When it comes to walks, he’s a pro—he walks nicely on a leash and enjoys his outdoor adventures.
Barrett is still a baby with lots of love to give, and he’s ready to find a family that will help him continue to grow and thrive.
Barrett is available as Foster-to-Adopt until his neuter on 1/9. We are accepting applications for him so that he can go ahead and find his forever family and then be officially adopted once his neuter is completed.
***Please Note: All the available dogs listed on our website are getting spoiled in private foster homes. If someone has caught your eye and you wish to arrange a meet and greet, we do need you to fill out the adoption application. When your adoption application is received our screening team will verify the information given. Once your application has been confirmed and approved, we will be send it over to the foster parent for review to determine if your home is a good match for the dog. In the event one lucky dog receives multiple applications, please know we do not select based on a first come basis. We try our best to select the best-fit for our animals and families. ***
