Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🔵 MAGNUS 🔵
Age- 2
Breed- Mal/GS mix
Weight-75lbs
This beautiful and unique boy came to us after spending nearly a year in a 300+ dog shelter after being picked up as a stray. Before that, it's clear that Magnus's experiences with humans were not kind. He was extremely scared of everything new and any touch at first and very thin.
Quickly though, he's figured out that people can be good and that pets and snuggles are the best thing ever!
He's 100% house trained, sleeps on a big dog bed at night and not only gets along with 3 furry foster sisters but also attends doggy daycare. He has has gotten along with all ages and sizes of dogs.
He LOVES little dogs and plays so adorably with friendly littles.
He lives with both a man and woman plus 2 teenagers and has met several new people and done extremely well with all.
He just appreciates the chance to introduce himself when he's ready.
His nose boop will let ya know he's ready to make friends 🥰
Magnus walks like a DREAM on leash with zero pulling and peacefully passes by all people and dogs. Walking and hiking really seem to build his self confidence and it would be great if that could be continued.
This pup has the potential to be the most faithful and loving companion ever after you gain his trust. Someone will be very lucky to score this guy as a family member.
Home Requirements:
#1- No cats or small children under 10 yrs.
This is not because we have seen concerns but because he has not had these interactions in our care and we can't speak to them.
#2- Someone home more than gone, willing to invest in daycare or someone who can take him with them.
#3- Another friendly, confident dog or dogs in the home to show him the ropes. This is a must. Other dogs are the secret to easing his anxiety and building trust.
#4- A patient and kind person willing to let him move at his pace. He bonds very quickly once he knows he's safe. He is a typical nervous Shepherd until he is settled in.
If you think you might be his perfect home.
Please put in your app at soardogs.org or reach out to be connected to his foster with any questions.
