Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Charlie was found chained up in an abandoned lot with all kinds of injuries and an undiagnosed chronic health issue. I adopted him from the Humane Society in March 2018 and soon after got him properly diagnosed with Valley Fever (both types). He has been on Fluconazole ever since, even though his Titer count has been minimal/zero for the last few years. We have recently started to lower the dosage with a long term goal of getting off it. The illness caused his left eye to go blind in 2022 but he quickly adjusted. He gets a drop in that eye once per day and will need to for life.
He has lived with dogs and cats and gets along with all of them. Passive attitude but will stand his ground when necessary.
Charlie has been through a lot with me and deserves a loving, stress-free home to enjoy his golden years. He is very active and fit; loves to hike, swim, and play fetch. Rehoming due to my own chronic health issues that prevent me from properly caring for him.
