My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Finn!

Finn is a 1.5 year old, 30lb Corgi who recently graduated from our PUPP training program and did wonderful! He is one smart pup!

Finn is a very sweet, snuggly guy who loves spending time with his family! He does show resource guarding with other dogs. Due to this, we feel it's best to place him as an only dog. He has never showed any guarding from humans! He just doesn't want other pets trying to get his food, toys or human affection :). We also feel he would do best in a home with no children. While he has never displayed any aggression towards people, we do not want to run the risk of a toddler dropping food and trying to take it back from him.

Overall Finn would do best in an active home to ensure he gets the exercise he needs, someone who will keep up with his commands/training, and someone who is willing to take it easy after an adventure and hang out with him on the couch.

Finn is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, crate trained, potty trained and knows basic obedience!

If you feel you are the perfect fit for this stubby, snuggly pup, please visit our website and complete an application: https://www.prodogsohio.org/adoptables

His adoption fee is $350

Go meet their pets

We have monthly events at local pet stores in Columbus and Dayton, and can arrange private meet-and-greets with individual fosters, as needed. Please submit an application to adopt in order to be contacted by one of our adoption coordinators, if you would like to meet one of our dogs.

More about this rescue

Purebred Rescue Organization of Ohio has been rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming companion animals for over twenty years. What started as a small foster-based rescue in Dayton, focused on purebred puppy mill releases and owner surrenders, has grown into a multi-city effort, and now includes the PUPP Prison Dog Training Program and partnerships with shelters across the State of Ohio to help save hundreds of dogs each year. Contrary to our name, we rescue dogs of all breeds, mixes, shapes, and sizes! We provide standard vetting for them while they are in our care - all of our dogs are fixed, heartworm tested, vaccinated, and microchipped before they are placed in adoptive homes.
