My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I’m Callie, and I’m here to tell you a little about myself. I might not know all the words, but I promise my eyes and tail do a lot of the talking.

First things first—I’m a gentle, kind-hearted girl who’s been through a lot, but I haven’t let it dim my spirit. My foster dad says I have the sweetest face and the softest heart, and I can make anyone smile just by being me. I might prance a little when food or treats are involved, and I’ll always want to be included in whatever you’re doing.

I’ve been recovering from a big surgery, so my activity level has been a bit limited, but I love sniffing around outside, basking in the sun, and going on gentle walks or hikes. Before my surgery, I even tackled a 3-mile hike like a pro! Stairs are still a bit tricky for me, though—I can manage one or two, but anything more feels a little overwhelming right now.

I’m good with new people, though I’m not the type to run up and demand attention. I’m happy to meet new friends and share my quiet, calm energy with them. I’ve also been around another friendly dog and did great, as long as things stayed gentle and relaxed.

My ideal home would have someone who’s around regularly to let me outside and keep me company. A yard or easy outdoor access would be wonderful since I might need a little extra help navigating stairs. I’d also love a walking buddy—someone who enjoys exploring nature at a calm and steady pace.

I may not be a high-energy dog, but I have so much love to give. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal, and quietly loving companion, I think we’d make a great team.

Are you ready to meet me? I promise I’ll fill your home with warmth, gratitude, and lots of tail wags.
