Meet Mama Pepper, a 1-year-old black lab mix who has recently become a mother to eight adorable puppies. This gentle, playful soul radiates warmth and affection, making friends with humans and animals alike (she loves both other dogs and cats). She is well-behaved with a happy demeanor, house trained, loves to go for walks / play in the yard or just cuddle with her people.

She sleeps in a crate at night and greets you with a tail wagging smile in the morning. If you're seeking a companion who brings sunshine into your life, look no further than Mama Pepper!

1.
Submit Application

Application and more info may be found at: peaklabrescue.com/adopt. Please allow 24 hours for your application to be reviewed.

2.
Meet the Pet

If approved, you will be given the foster's contact info. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS. You must come to Apex, NC (near Raleigh) to meet in person.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

If it's a match you can take your dog home that day. Our Adoption Fee is $325 and you must complete and sign our Adoption Agreement.

4.
Take the Pet Home

If you return the dog within 7 days of adoption you may receive a refund of $275. A $75 administrative fee is required to cover our costs.

Additional adoption info

You will receive the dog's Vet records via email 7-10 days after adoption. You will receive the dog's microchip info and rabies tag (if appropriate) via USPS about 2 weeks after adoption.

Peak Lab Rescue is the largest foster-based dog rescue in North Carolina. We do not have a facility, all of our dogs live in homes where they can learn the skills to be successful family members.

Our Mission is to end dog homelessness in North Carolina. We save Lab Mixes and other dogs from abuse, neglect, abandonment, and high-kill shelters.
