For being 14 years young, you'd think he's half that age the moment you meet him! Spatz is an absolutely wonderful dog with a wonderful personality. He's healthy, happy, and loads of fun! Sure, he enjoys his naps and he LOVES to cuddle on the sofa with you any chance he can get but he enjoys short walks though doesn't mind staying home and being a homebody too. He's not too fond of being picked up but he can definitely handle himself to jump up on your lap, the bed, or in the car when needed. With age, he's gone a bit deaf but this does not hinder him in any way. He's great with other dogs, he simply prefers the smaller dogs closer to his size as the larger dogs can be intimidating. He can be left at home alone with no issues. He doesnt have accidents and doesn't mark. He's in excellent shape for a 14 year old pup! He's a homebody boy who will follow you everywhere like a shadow. If you're looking to give a home to an amazing pal like Spatz, you won't regret it! We absolutely adore him!

More about this rescue
Hope Ranch Animal Sanctuary is a non-profit organization; obtained our 501(c)3 in 2011 - ID #27-0810495
Located in Anza, CA
Kathy Haley had originally started as a rescue for abused and neglected large animals such as donkeys, llamas, alpacas, pigs, and more. At the time, she was also a volunteer at a dog rescue. After learning about the importance of rescue work, Kathy saw an opportunity to help by employing her own ideas about animal welfare, rescue and care taking the "whole animal," mind, body and spirit into consideration. A few years later, she met Lisa Ashe. Kathy and Lisa had so many ideas, dreams, and goals in common. They instantly clicked and that was when Hope Ranch Animal Sanctuary, a non-profit organization, was born in 2011 and have been going strong since.
At Hope Ranch Animal Sanctuary, we are dedicated to taking in abused, neglected, and euthanasia listed animals that deserve a second chance and need us the most.
All of our animals are:
Spayed/Neutered
Current on all vaccines
Rabies Vaccinated
Dewormed
Micro-chipped (lifetime registered & paid)
Received all proper medical care when needed (surgeries, dentals, medications, grooming, etc)
While many of our animals are sanctuary or "permanent residents", we do have lots of adoptable pets who are patiently waiting for their forever homes.
We are unique in the fact that our dogs do not live in kennels; instead they live with us in our home on about 5 acres of property located in Anza, CA or they are in foster homes in and around the Temecula, CA area. They have full access to our home and property and sleep inside with us at night.
This ensures that our pets are well adjusted and perfectly suited to become a part of your family.
Because the sanctuary is also our home, we do not have regular public visiting hours but we do have many visitors.
We just have to arrange it to fit the schedule of our animals, ourselves, and you.
