My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lizzie is a darling Pomeranian who’s a bundle of snuggles, sweetness, and pure joy. This precious senior gal loves nothing more than being close to her people, and she’s ready to bring her gentle, loving spirit to a forever home. Lizzie rides well in the car and does wonderfully with other dogs and cats.
Like many senior dogs, Lizzie has a small quirk that makes her extra special: she has a subluxated patella, which is a fancy way of saying her kneecap sometimes pops out of place. Don’t worry—it’s common in small breeds and comes and goes! Lizzie’s vet recommends anti-inflammatory meds for now, and she may limp a little when it bothers her, but it doesn’t slow down her ability to love you with her whole heart.
We know there are some amazing people out there who have a soft spot for seniors—dogs who may need just a little extra care but give so much in return. If that’s you, we hope you’ll come meet Lizzie. She’s the kind of dog who will remind you every day how special it is to open your heart to a senior.

A tiny soul named Lizzie, born just before Christmas in 2016, found herself lost and alone in a bustling city pound. Weighing a mere 6 pounds, she was a picture of vulnerability. But fate, it seemed, had a plan. One of JR's devoted volunteers, Jeanne, spotted Lizzie's photo online. Fresh from an overnight hospital stay, Jeanne's heart went out to the little one. Without hesitation, she detoured to the pound, scooped up Lizzie, and brought her to the safety and warmth of JR's care.

The Adoption Fee for this dog is $450.00
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.

Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.

YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES

We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.
