My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi ya. My name is Figgy aka Figgy Puddin aka Fig Newton aka Fig. My approximate birthday is 9/17/2024. I currently weigh 11 lbs. That means I could be between 30 and 40 lbs as an adult. I was the runt of the litter. And as you can see, my brindle coat is gorgeous, everyone says so.

Most important, please remember I am a puppy. I happen to be a very good puppy according to my foster mom, but I am still a puppy. Puppies require work, diligence, and patience. I'm worth it though!

I have matured a lot in the short time my foster mom has had me. I am already sitting on command. I don't stay that way very long but these things take practice. I like to be wherever you are, even when you are working in the kitchen. I am being trained not to get under foot by staying in a dog bed and just watching the activity. I do not like being crated. But I do well if you just leave me in a room if you have to go out. I prefer that I have company when you are gone. I am lucky, this house has five dogs. My two favorites are the 30 and 50 lb Staffy mixes. I was scared of their size the first few days but now we wrestle and play all the time. I do have sharp puppy teeth and I do play hard so I wouldn't do well with young children.

I am also doing well with my potty training. It is important to keep me on a schedule by taking me out after eating and after naps. I also learned the doggie doors the very first day!

I have saved the best for last. I LOVE to snuggle. In the evenings I like to snuggle up next to my person in the recliner. I sleep soundly with my foster mom all night long. I am food motivated so you keep the treats coming and I can learn most anything. I will probably do best if I had another doggie sibling to play with. But I do love people so if you are home a lot and/or want to take me with you everywhere, we could discuss that option.

If I sound irresistible, fill out an app so we can get this thing started. I can't wait to meet you.

Figgy

My adoption fee of $350 includes the vet fees, future spay, rabies and age-appropriate vaccinations, flea/tick meds, and microchip.
