Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Pattie, the confident and cuddly superstar of Lighthouse Animal Shelter! This little dynamo is ready to charm her way into your heart with her happy tail wags and wiggle butt that never stop moving. If you’re looking for a playful companion who adores attention, Pattie is your girl!
Pattie is the more adventurous half of the dynamic duo with her sister Peppermint. While Peppermint might prefer a cozy lap or a safe space, Pattie is all about meeting new friends (both 4 legged and 2 legged) and exploring the world around her. She may need a little help with her leash manners, such as some reigning in, she’s already made progress, and with some practice, she’ll be a walking pro in no time!
This smaller bundle of joy is well crate-trained and is making great strides in her potty training. She loves to cuddle and will happily curl up beside you after a fun day of play. While she and Peppermint are the best of pals, it’s best for them to find their own forever homes—Pattie is ready to shine solo, but does enjoy other dogs, and should be adopted separately from Peppermint, to bring her unique sparkle to your life!
If you’re ready for a loving companion who’s always up for an adventure and a cozy cuddle, Pattie is the pup you’ve been waiting for! Come meet her and see just how much love and laughter she can bring to your home!

More about this rescue
At Lighthouse Animal Shelter, an all volunteer, 501(c)3 organization, we promote the welfare of animals at risk of euthanasia. We also work with the community to maximize efforts in reducing pet overpopulation.
We rescue the majority of our dogs from high-intake shelters down south (the majority being from Kentucky, South Carolina & North Carolina) and get organize transport to our New Bedford shelter for adoption. We focus on last-call death row dogs.
The cats in our care are all local strays or surrenders and are generally adults to seniors.
