Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Sam was born around June 26, 2022 and weighs about 28 pounds. Sam is with us after his human was no longer able to care for him. Sam arrived with extremely matted hair but thanks to our incredible volunteers he is much more comfy! Sam has been a pleasure to get to know and meet everyone with enthusiasm. Sam rides well in the car and walks nicely on a leash. We are told Sam is good with children but we have noticed he sometimes gets a bit uncomfortable when asked to do something he would rather not do so we are going to say older kids only. Sam gets along beautifully with the other dogs here but we are not sure about cats yet. Sam was wonderful about his first grooming until it came to his face but we can't blame him for that based on the condition he was in. A few days after his initial grooming his foster dad was able to trim up his face and we feel that with consistent, positive, interactions with a good groomer, he is going to be absolutely fine with it in the future. Sam is a very happy boy and ready for a fresh start! Sam is doing well using the dog door and we like to remind everyone that often these small dogs do best with house training if they have the ability to have a potty floor pad handy for when they can't hold it. The Adoption Fee for this dog is $500.00
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES
We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.
