My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A volunteer writes:
Five year old Baby Doll  and seven year old mom Showmee came to the Manhattan Care Center as their elderly owner could not provide for them anymore. They lived with fourteen other cats....Baby Doll is a petite gal, very shy, tempted by tasty treats and mostly soft and encouraging words. It did not take too long for her to understand that I was a friend. She moved very slowly toward me, making biscuits all along and leaning gently against my hand for pets. Baby Doll is known to be a very timid gal and it must be quite frightening to be all alone, in a cage, without her mom, her friends and her owner....Just think about it....There is only one remedy... Come and meet our Baby Doll, her mom Showmee too, may be, open your heart and take her(them both) home for a life filled with love.

I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.

I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.

I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.
