My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lovely Kai is looking for her family! She is a stunning Shepherd-husky mix weighing 62lbs and estimated to be 3yrs old. Kai loves getting her ya-yas out by playing with her foster sis, and she's also a star in the obedience classes she's taking with her foster mom. While she's still sometimes wide-eyed at the big world, she's a natural at loose-leash walking and is blossoming with practice and experience. After a calm introduction, she warms up quickly to new people and shows off her cheerful, affectionate, smiling self. She's housetrained and crate-trained and is working on being more confident when home alone. A home with another well-mannered and playful dog would be Kai's dream come true.

More about this rescue

We are a group of volunteers and rescuers combining our skills to help fosters get a dog out of the shelter! The dogs in our program have begun house, crate, and leash training. Our fosters follow a handful of house rules. The transition to a new home is easiest for your dog when these structures are carried over for some time and privileges are gradually introduced. This helps minimize anxiety and behavioral issues.
