Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Snowden is an incredibly friendly M who has been through quite a bit. He was brought to the shelter with what we thought was a broken jaw. It turns out he likely had been brought to a vet for this who placed a wire in his jaw but he never got follow up care and the jaw was horribly infected. The shelter vet removed the wire and called us to take the cat bc he was so friendly and she didn't want to put him down. The X-ray also revealed a pellet in his jaw which is likely what caused the original injury.
He has been nursed back to health. He needs wet food - you may also put a dish of dry out but currently he is more comfortable with wet. His mouth is sometimes open a bit which is fine just fyi. He loves to sleep in bed and loves attention. He loves to "kneed" so if you are adverse to little tears in your blankets he is not your guy.

At Darbster Rescue, our goal is to place kittens, cats, and dogs with great, forever homes in New England. The pets are primarily from South Florida and other southern states where the euthanasia rates are very high. Our shelters are in New Hampshire which has a strong demand for pets relative to supply and where shelters like ours are strictly no kill operations. Our animals will go to their new homes spayed or neutered, UTD on shots and a clean bill of health from FL and NH. We are here to help everyone look for the perfect match for themselves and their family.
