My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Max is a 6-year-old, 30lb, well-trained and friendly dog seeking a HOME with NO OTHER DOGS. He is great for hiking, fetch and cuddling. He’s a well-adjusted, low-maintenance dog for a family who just wants one dog. He struggles living with other dogs. While he can be around or pass them without reacting, it’s important not to leave him alone with a dog. He’s shy at first with people but warms up quickly and has never bitten or snapped.

He’s received 5 years of extensive training, doesn’t have resource guarding towards people or even dogs, trustworthy off-leash (he’ll never run off), and excellent on a leash or harness. He responds promptly to commands on cue (leave it, come, stay, wait, snuggle up, give me the ball, drop it, no more, go to crate, be nice, + more).

I love Max, but I know I’m not able to give him the life he deserves with so many dogs in my care. He needs a loving home where he can live without constant restrictions. Please help me find a wonderful family for him.
