Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lovely gray Layla came to Heartland from one of our partner shelters in Kentucky. Her foster dad says that she is a cuddly kitten, but also a playful one. She loves petting, and will jump in your lap when she would like some loving. She has adapted well to his home and to her foster sister. Layla also gets along well with the family dog. She is four and a half years old, a perfect age and size for a young family. She may need some time to get to know you,, but her calm and loving personality will soon win out.

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
