My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Samson is a sweet dog, loves to hike and go for long walks, loves to play with other dogs, and hang out on the couch and cuddle with his people. He is very intelligent and loves to do tricks for treats. He is a steady and loyal companion. I am heartbroken to have to rehome him, but he is too much dog for me after recently losing my husband (Sam was his dog).

One of his favorite activities is to watch for squirrels. He has a strong prey drive so keeps our large yard mostly free from squirrels, rabbits, deer, bears, and coyotes. He loves to chase fast-moving creatures, and he has tried to herd little kids. So even though I have young grandchildren, I do not recommend a home with small children.

He is friendly with other dogs most of the time. He has many dog friends/playmates. When on leash, if we encounter a high energy or reactive dog, Sam will try to go after that dog. So, when walking in high dog traffic areas, I use a gentle leader and an e-collar.
