Are you looking for a cuddly, playful friend? Meet Brisket, an affectionate, rambunctious cat who loves new people! Brisket is the perfect balance of goofy, energetic, and loving. Brisket’s favorite kind of playtime is playing with someone else. He is particularly fond of wand toys, sticks, or just chasing a friend around his home.

When he's not playing around, Brisket loves making himself comfortable somewhere close to his human friends, whether that's curled up in your lap, snuggling with you in bed, or laying near you while you relax. He even has a tendency to follow humans around for pets and kisses, and will find places He can climb up to your eye level so he can ask for affection.

Brisket is a very loving cat who wants to find his forever home - somewhere he can play with and love on his humans to his little heart's content. Would you be his next best friend?

We have worked hard to make our adoption process as easy as possible. We like to think of the process in four steps: application, phone conversation, meet and greet and adoption day. We will get back to applicants within a few days even if they were not chosen.

More about this rescue

Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.

Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
