My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Caricia has been a part of our family since 2012. We adopted her from a litter born to a Great Pyrenees who was abandoned because she had heartworms. Caricia now shares the same issue. Additionally, she has obvious arthritis which makes it difficult for her to sit. Unfortunately, her primary caretaker, my 83 year old mom is also suffering from the debilitating effects of arthritis.

She is a sweetheart, though! She grew up eating homemade tortillas with a pat of butter, and running off any chance she got. She will still look you in the eye and walk off, but she can no longer run. We love her, but we cannot provide the care she needs. She has started having accidents. I know her time is near, but can’t bear the thought of surrendering her and her being put down.

If you are someone who has time to offer her love, a few good months or 1-2 years until her time comes, I’d love to have you meet her. I’ll bring the tortillas. You bring the love.
